Supported Languages

'Generate Report' works with English and 9 other languages. Check if your Gmail display language is on the list below.

⚠️ Seeing a language error in Clear Mail? Your Gmail is currently set to a language that 'Generate Report' doesn't support yet. Follow the steps below to switch to a supported language — it takes less than a minute.

Why does this limitation exist?

'Generate Report' identifies which Gmail tab you're viewing (Primary, Promotions, Social, Updates, Forums) by reading the tab label text. When Gmail is displayed in an unsupported language, Clear Mail can't recognise these labels and the feature can't run correctly.

Note: This only affects 'Generate Report'. Your saved mail filters work in any language, without any changes.


How to switch your Gmail display language

1. Open Gmail Settings

Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner of Gmail, then select See all settings.

2. Go to the General tab

The Language option appears near the top of the General settings tab.

3. Select a supported language

Choose any language from the supported list above.

4. Save changes

Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes. Gmail will reload in the selected language.
